Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: May 30, 2026
Welcome to Praksha. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Praksha website, mobile application, event pages, registration services, organizer tools, attendance tools, certificates, and related services.
By using Praksha, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. About Praksha
Praksha is an online platform that helps users discover, register for, host, manage, and participate in events. Events may be created by Praksha, verified organizers, student communities, clubs, institutions, independent hosts, or other approved organizers.
Praksha may provide tools for event listing, registration, attendance, digital passes, speaker applications, certificates, organizer dashboards, and event communication.
2. Eligibility
You may use Praksha if you are legally capable of entering into an agreement under applicable law.
If you are under 18 years of age, you should use the platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian, institution, or authorized adult.
By using the platform, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are not restricted from using our services.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account using email, password, Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, or any other login method supported by Praksha.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You should not share your account access with others.
You are responsible for all activities that happen through your account, unless caused by Praksha's fault or a security issue under our control.
Praksha may suspend or restrict accounts that are found to be fake, abusive, misleading, harmful, or in violation of these Terms.
4. Event Registration
Users can register for events through Praksha. Depending on the event settings, registration may be automatically approved, manually approved by the organizer, or placed on a waitlist.
Submitting a registration does not always guarantee entry to an event. Some events may have limited seats, approval requirements, eligibility rules, or organizer-side screening.
Users must provide correct details during registration. Incorrect or fake information may result in cancellation of registration, denial of entry, or removal from the event.
5. Digital Passes and Attendance
Praksha may generate a digital pass, registration confirmation, QR code, or entry pass for an event.
A digital pass confirms registration or approval for an event. It does not always guarantee attendance marking, entry, certificate eligibility, or seat confirmation unless specifically stated by the event organizer.
Attendance may be marked manually, through QR check-in, or by other methods chosen by the organizer.
For some events, attendance may be required to receive a certificate. For other events, certificates may be issued based only on registration or organizer approval.
6. Certificates
Praksha may provide digital certificates for eligible events. Certificate availability depends on the event settings and organizer rules.
A certificate may require successful registration, approval, attendance, participation, completion of required sessions, or other conditions set by the organizer.
Praksha may generate certificates digitally and may provide certificate verification pages.
Praksha is not responsible for false claims made by users using edited, forged, misused, or downloaded certificates outside the platform.
7. Organizers and Event Hosts
Approved users, communities, clubs, institutions, or independent organizers may be allowed to create and manage events on Praksha.
Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their event information, including event title, description, venue, date, time, eligibility, agenda, speakers, pricing, refund policy, certificate rules, and attendance process.
Organizers must not create fake, misleading, harmful, illegal, discriminatory, unsafe, or fraudulent events.
Praksha may verify, reject, block, suspend, or remove organizers and events if they violate platform rules, applicable law, or user safety standards.
8. Event Content and Information
Event pages may include descriptions, images, organizer details, speaker information, agendas, rules, pricing, venue details, links, and other content.
Praksha may review or moderate event content, but we do not guarantee that every event detail is always complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
Users should check the event page, organizer instructions, and official communication before attending an event.
9. Payments, Pricing, and Refunds
Some events may be free, and some may be paid.
For paid events, pricing, taxes, payment charges, refund rules, cancellation policies, and settlement terms may vary depending on the event and payment provider.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, event fees are collected for the specific event registration and not for unlimited access to Praksha services.
Refunds, if applicable, will be handled according to the event-specific refund policy, organizer policy, payment provider rules, and applicable law.
Praksha may charge platform fees, convenience fees, or organizer service fees where applicable. Such charges will be shown where required.
10. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Event Changes
Events may be cancelled, postponed, rescheduled, moved online, or modified due to organizer decisions, low participation, speaker unavailability, venue issues, technical issues, weather, safety concerns, legal restrictions, or other reasons.
Praksha is not responsible for travel costs, accommodation costs, personal expenses, lost opportunities, or other indirect losses caused by event changes, unless required by applicable law.
Users should check event updates before attending.
11. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for illegal, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
- Create fake accounts or impersonate another person, organization, institution, or company.
- Upload false, misleading, offensive, hateful, obscene, discriminatory, or harmful content.
- Interfere with the platform's security, systems, APIs, or user experience.
- Misuse event registrations, digital passes, certificates, QR codes, or attendance systems.
- Harass, threaten, spam, or abuse other users, organizers, speakers, or Praksha staff.
- Use the platform to promote scams, unsafe gatherings, illegal activities, or unauthorized commercial activity.
12. Prohibited Events
Praksha may reject or remove events that involve illegal activity, hate speech, violence, harassment, dangerous conduct, fraud, explicit content, unauthorized financial schemes, misleading education claims, or any activity that may harm users, Praksha, or the public.
Praksha may also remove events that do not match platform standards, contain poor-quality information, or create user safety concerns.
13. Intellectual Property
The Praksha name, logo, brand, design, website layout, app interface, platform features, software, content, and related materials are owned by Praksha or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, or misuse Praksha's intellectual property without permission.
Organizers retain responsibility for the content they upload, but by uploading content to Praksha, they grant Praksha permission to display, promote, process, store, and use that content for operating and improving the platform.
14. Third-Party Services
Praksha may use third-party services for authentication, hosting, payments, analytics, storage, email, notifications, maps, communication, and other platform functions.
Your use of such services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Praksha is not responsible for third-party service failures, downtime, or policies beyond our control.
15. Platform Availability
We try to keep Praksha reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, security issues, third-party failures, or circumstances beyond our control.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Praksha will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of opportunity, loss of reputation, lost profits, or event-related personal expenses.
Praksha is a technology platform and may not be the direct organizer of every event listed on the platform.
For third-party events, the organizer is responsible for event delivery, venue arrangements, event quality, safety, communication, and compliance with applicable rules.
17. Safety and Real-World Events
Users attend offline events at their own discretion.
Organizers are responsible for maintaining reasonable safety standards, venue permissions, crowd management, and event compliance.
Users should follow venue rules, organizer instructions, safety guidelines, and applicable laws.
Praksha may take action against users or organizers who create safety risks.
18. Account Suspension and Termination
Praksha may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the platform if a user or organizer violates these Terms, misuses the platform, creates risk for others, or violates applicable law.
Users may stop using the platform at any time.
Certain information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, payment, audit, or dispute resolution purposes.
19. Changes to These Terms
Praksha may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make important changes, we may notify users through the website, app, email, or other reasonable methods.
Continued use of Praksha after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms, the platform, or Praksha shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in India, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
